Community Organization Spotlight: Live Oak Adult Day Services

Live Oak Adult Day Services is a nonprofit, community-based agency providing specialized day care for frail, elderly, and dependent adults residing in Santa Clara County. There are four locations: Cupertino, Los Gatos, Willow Glen, and Gilroy.

Live Oak provides compassionate care, supporting clients with their daily life activities. Clients benefit by receiving social stimulation, physical, mental, and even spiritual support. The mission of this organization is to enable seniors to remain at home and in their community as they age. Live Oak’s goal is to combat isolation by providing socialization, support, and life enrichment.

Adaptive physical exercise programs, arts and crafts, lunches, and music are some of the stimulating activities clients have an opportunity to enjoy at Live Oak. Interaction with the friendly staff and volunteers offers clients a chance to enjoy their daily activities with the necessary support available.

Caregivers can also find support and relief at Live Oak, enabling them to go to work or finish errands, while knowing that their loved one is in a safe and caring environment. Support groups and caregiver classes are offered to help restore balance to the caregivers’ lives.
One caregiver states, “Caring for my Dad is much easier because he is happier when he goes to Live Oak.”
Sourcewise is a proud contributor to Live Oak Adult Day Services and continues to support this organization as a resource for community members seeking adult day care options.
